HAMBURG A Hamburg woman won $1 million on a scratch-off ticket Thursday, and says she plans to continue working.
The Ashley County Ledger reports that April Burnside won the million-dollar prize on a $20 Arkansas Millionaires Club scratch-off ticket she purchased at J&C Discount Tobacco in Hamburg. Burnside, an employee of the tobacco store, said she purchases scratch-off tickets "every once in a while," but this is the first time she's won.
When asked how she would spend the money, Burnside told the Ashley County Ledger, "I'm building a home, I bought a new vehicle, will help my children, and put the rest in savings."

She will have more "friends" that she can shake a stick at!! Just hope she keeps her head on straight for the long term. Scam artists will be beating a path to her door, too.
