A state lawmaker who was hospitalized after suffering shortness of breath is expected to be discharged Wednesday morning.

Rep. Jon Hubbard, R-Jonesboro, did not suffer a heart attack but may have been dehydrated when he was taken from the Capitol to an area hospital Tuesday afternoon, Arkansas Republicans spokesman Katherine Vasilos said.

Vasilos said Hubbard hopes to be back at the Capitol by the time the House convenes at 1:30 p.m.

Hubbard last year suffered a mild heart attack.
