The Arkansas Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program is reopening with $1.4 million in available funds.
Rebates are available until the funds are exhausted.
Owners of Energy Star rated appliances can receive a number of rebates. For refrigerators, they can receive $275. For washing machines, they can receive $225 and for water heaters, they can receive $300.
The U.S. Department of Energy funds the rebates through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The program began in March 2010 and has distributed more than $6.5 million in rebates.
