VAN BUREN The medical examiners’ office says human remains found in a barrel in a shallow grave east of Lavaca last week are those of Angela Allen, a 16-year-old Van Buren teen who disappeared after meeting with a sex offender she met online.
Allen was strangled, according to a preliminary autopsy, the Sebastian County sheriff’s office says. In a court document filed Tuesday, prosecutors in Sebastian County charged Lloyd C. Jones, 36, with first-degree murder in Allen's death. Jones was arrested Thursday on a charge of aggravated assault.
Allen's body was found Friday in a barrel located near Jones’ home and on property owned by his family.
Allen went missing Feb. 10 after she told a relative she was going out for a walk. Instead, authorities say, Jones told them he picked her up at a parking lot in Van Buren and took her to the river outside Lavaca, where he lives.
Authorities say Jones pushed Angela into the water after she told him how old she was.
Jones did not have an attorney listed. He is set for arraignment tomorrow in circuit court.

How sad!!! How can we teach "our" kids that there are some really creepy people out there--people who will hurt you. They will lie and deceive you and when they are done with you they kill you and dispose of you in very inhumane ways. How incredibly sad!!

This monster should be killed and stuffed in a barrel!!! Is there not some way to keep convicted sex offenders from using the internet?? May be impossible I guess.

This is why sex offenders/predators should be in prison for life and never be let out. They cannot be cured and this will continue until they are not allowed out of prison.

The only problem with :life in prison" is that it costs in excess of $60K a year of tax payer dollars.
Time to tell kids about the REAL cost of running away and/or doing stupid sneaky things on line.
Kitty... well, this shows how helpful praying is... I wonder if that little girl called on her god to save her... that did a lot of good too, didn't it?
Time to tell children the truth about the perverts and stop treating them as if nothing will happen to them if we don't.
