LITTLE ROCK A second man has been arrested in Little Rock's first homicide of the year, a Jan. 3 shooting that left one man dead and a woman injured.
Ivor Gordon, 29, made an initial appearance Thursday in Little Rock District Court in the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Daniel Hill.
Gordon, arrested Wednesday night by U.S. Marshals and charged with first-degree murder and criminal attempt to commit first-degree murder, was ordered held in lieu of a $1.5 million bond during the brief appearance in front of District Judge Alice Lightle. Preliminary innocent pleas were entered on the charges.
Lightle also ordered Gordon to have no contact with Edwina Martin, Hill's girlfriend who survived multiple gunshot wounds to her upper torso and hip in the shooting at an apartment at 1502 Green Mountain Drive.
Gordon, who appeared in court by video from the Pulaski County jail, didn't speak except to acknowledge he understood when asked about the no-contact order. Prosecutors said he has previous arrests for aggravated robbery and breaking and entering, though the disposition of the cases wasn't known.
Quenton “Boo” Jones, 29, was arrested Jan. 9 on the same charges as Gordon.
Police have not specified the motive for the shooting, but have said there was some relationship between the victims and the gunmen.
