Plumerville is site for Mid-Ark Quartet Convention Feb. 24-25

— The fourth annual Mid-Ark Quartet Convention will be held Feb. 24 and 25 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Plumerville.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. Feb. 24 and at 5 p.m. Feb. 25.

Among the performers will be Heaven’s Echoes, the host group, from Plumerville; The Wooten Brothers from Springfield; N Him from Olive Branch, Miss.; Broken Vessels from Jackson, Ala.; The Voyagers from Little Rock; Weston and Christy Hinson from Caddo Mills, Texas; the Velvet Ridge Singers from Velvet Ridge; His Call from Dallas; Cross Point from Benton, Eli Haydel from Shreveport, La.; and the master of ceremonies, Mike Goodwin of Magnolia.

For the past three years, the Mid-Ark Quartet Convention has experienced overflow crowds.

To accommodate those in attendance, closed-circuit televisions will be provided throughout the family life center, fellowship hall and concessions area so no one will miss the event’s action. These TVs will be provided by groups from Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, with proceeds going to the church’s various mission projects.

Concessions will be available from 5 p.m. until closing on Friday and from 4 p.m. until closing on Saturday. Groups will have tables set up to offer music and other products, and a silent auction will be held.

New this year, Black Light Ministry, a youth group from Liberty Baptist Church in Stamps, will perform at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 25.
