Police report murder-kidnapping in Arkadelphia, suspect at-large

— Arkadelphia police are reporting one man dead and two people missing Sunday following an early-morning murder and possible kidnapping.

According to the release, police say that 36-year-old Donald Hux of Arkadelphia abducted his ex-wife, Amy Huckabee, and their three children Sunday from Huckabee's residence. Upon further investigation, police found Amy Huckabee's husband, Sandy Carl Huckabee, dead inside their home.

Investigators determined that Hux drove with Amy Huckabee and their children from Arkadelphia to El Dorado early Sunday, and dropped the children off at an undisclosed location in Union County. The children were "reportedly unharmed", according to a report by The Daily Siftings Herald.

The Arkadelphia Police Department has issued a warrant for Hux on the charges of capital murder, kidnapping, possession of a firearm by certain person and aggravated residential burglary.

Hux is still at large and Amy Huckabee has not been located. They were last seen in a tan, 2005 Chevrolet extended-cab truck, with the Arkansas license plate 487-MDZ. Individuals with information on this case are asked to contact the Union County Sheriff's Office at (870) 864-1970 or their local law enforcement office.
