Famed Tuskegee airman takes bow on his birthday

Milton Pitts Crenchaw — one of the original members of the noted Tuskegee Airmen and the last living supervising squadron commander of the elite group — was honored at a meet-and-greet event Jan. 20 after the earlyevening showing of the film Red Tails at the Rave Motion Pictures Colonel Glenn 18 theater in Little Rock. The event was also a celebration of Crenchaw’s 94th birthday, which occurred Jan. 13.
