LITTLE ROCK — JACKSONVILLE - Elsie and James Miller will celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary. The couple were married July 11, 1950. She is the former Elsie Strong and a Realtor for Plantation Realty. He is retired from the U.S. Air Force. They are the parents of Patti Willits, Kelly Miller and John Miller, all of Jacksonville; Barbara Davis and Nancy Cook-Conner, both of Sherwood; and Marilyn Whitmore of Oklahoma City. The couple have 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

LESLIE - Jerome and Hyacinth Jenkins have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. The couple were married June 30, 1957. She is the former Hyacinth Hood and retired from banking. He retired from the U.S. Army, is a former teacher and owned and operated a Sears store in Marshall with his wife. They are the parents of Romey Jenkins of Marshall and Scarlet King of Leslie. The couple have three grandchildren.

BENTON - Margie and Marvin Bearden have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family trip to Branson. The couple were married July 1, 1962. She is the former Margie Morrison and retired as habilitation/rehabilitation instructor from Arkansas Health Center. Bearden is a retired small engine mechanic for Fiser Truck & Tractor. They are the parents of Wesley Bearden and Judith Orrick, both of Benton; Allan Bearden of Hot Springs; and Marla Palmer of Sheridan. The couple have eight grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

WARD - Shelly and Jerry Russell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Cabot United Methodist Church Wesley Center. The couple were married July 14, 1962. She is the former Shelly Hill and a retired public accountant. He is a retired cattle farmer. They are the parents of Steven Russell of Miami, Melisa Bourgeois of Johns Creek, Calif., and Alan Russell of Dallas. The couple have three grandchildren.

CAMDEN - JoAnn and Clyde Wilson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Cullendale Assembly of God at a reception hosted by their children. She is the former JoAnn Moses and a retired hair dresser. He is retired from International Paper Co. They are the parents of Beverly Wilson Riley of Camden and Clyde Wilson Jr. of Magnolia. The couple have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Viola and the Rev. Freddie Bryant of Little Rock have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married July 7, 1962. She is the former Viola Givens and retired from Philips Lighting. He is a retired truck driver and landscaper. They are the parents of Debra Davis of Little Rock, Cathy Chambers of Midlothian, Texas, and Freddie L. Bryant Jr. of Little Rock. The couple have one grandchild.

HARRISON - Ruth and Richard Poe have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple were married on July 3, 1952. She is the former Ruth Howard and retired from the University of Arkansas System office. He is retired from Entergy. They are the parents of Alisa Poe Davidson of Searcy and Richard Poe Jr. of Harrison. They have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

EL PASO - Marisue and Oscar Jones will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday at El Paso Community Center. The couple were married July 15, 1962. She is the former Marisue Helms and a retired secretary for the Federal Aviation Administration. He is a retired national account manager for Applied Industrial Technology. They are the parents of Scott M. Jones of Russellville and Barry L. Jones of Van Buren. The couple have three grandchildren.

DUMAS - Mildred and Julius Carter have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married July 8, 1962. She is the former Mildred Logan. He is pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. They are the parents of Paul Carter of Frierson, La., David Carter of Dumas and Steven Carter of Benton. The couple have nine grandchildren.

BENTON - Bonnie and Dan Henthorne have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. The couple were married July 7, 1962. She is the former Bonnie Caldwell and retired from Insurance Center Inc. He is retired from Alcoa Mining Division. They are the parents of David Henthorne of Benton, Darren Henthorne of Little Rock and the late Daniel Jay Henthorne. The couple have five grandchildren.

Mar y Lou and Jack Halford of Little Rock have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family vacation in Grayton Beach, Fla. The couple were married June 29, 1962. She is the former Mary Lou Stidham and retired from office management at Central Clinic for Women. He is retired from fleet sales with Landers Auto Group. They are the parents of Pat Halford of Conway, Laura Halford Wood of Jonesboro and Tony Halford of Little Rock. The couple have five grandchildren.

DIERKS - Keith and Ann Vancil Gilbert have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple were married June 14, 1952. She is the former Ann Vancil Vanville. Both are retired. They are the parents of Van Gilbert of Katy, Texas, Sonia Miller of De Queen, Steven Gilbert of Magnolia and Ben Gilbert of Little Rock. The couple have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
