Simmons First Bank adds Matt Boyd to management team

— Simmons First Bank of Searcy recently announced that Matt Boyd will join the bank ’s management team as a senior vice president and senior credit officer, said Brooks Davis, president and chief executive officer of Simmons First Bank of Searcy.

Boyd most recently held the position of vice president and commercial loan officer.

He has seven years of experience with Simmons First and more than 17 years of financial-services experience within the state of Arkansas.

“We are extremely delighted to have Matt become a member of our senior management team,” Davis said.

“He has been a tremendous asset to our bank and an outstanding leader within our organization. He is active in the community, and he has a proven track record deserving of this promotion.”

Boyd received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and is a 2006 graduate of the Barrett School of Banking’s Commercial Lending School.

Boyd is an active community leader, currently serving on the board of Jacob’s Place Homeless Shelter and the chamber’s Commercial Development Committee.

Boyd is a graduate of the Searcy Leadership program and has previously served with the United Way, Habitat for Humanity and the March of Dimes.
