LITTLE ROCK — Westbound Interstate 30 is now open in Saline County, but delays are still possible in the area after heavy backups during the morning rush hour.
The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department said just before 8:30 a.m. that the highway had reopened. It had been closed completely to westbound traffic while crews worked to upright a tractor-trailer that wrecked west of Benton.
Westbound traffic for some time was diverted to Highway 67 at the 114 mile marker. Eastbound traffic was not affected.
Arkansas State Police dispatchers said the wreck happened late Tuesday when an 18-wheeler overturned near the 107 mile marker. The lanes were closed Wednesday morning to upright and move the truck.
