Vows were exchanged in front of a stone and wrought iron arch embellished with branches and wedding flowers. Music was by an Arkansas Symphony Orchestra string quartet with Kiril Laskarov, Beth Massa, Joe Joyner and Casey Buck. A reading was given by Bryan Scanlon of Little Rock, brother of the bride.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory gown of silk organza and re-embroidered French lace. The lace bodice had a V-neck and shirred organza Empire band. The skirt extended to a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of peonies, white hydrangeas, lisianthus and orchids.

Laura Scanlon Hum of North Little Rock served as her sister’s matron of honor. She wore a navy strapless dress of silk georgette and carried a mix of spring-green hydrangeas and chartreuse orchids.

A reception in Lafayette Square followed the ceremony. Tables alternated centerpieces of tall cylinder vases filled with green apples and topped with arrangements of hydrangeas, bells of Ireland, hypericum berries, orchids, gladioli and blue delphinium with low arrangements of white and green flowers wrapped with a tropical leaf. Music was by the Travis Kidd Band.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi, Arkansas Alpha chapter.
