WILLIAM LARRY BEESON, aka “The Beast,” 62, of Little Rock passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 from complications of Diabetes. He served in the United States Navy from 1969-1973, owned his own plumbing business and was a master plumber from 1974 to present. He loved playing the guitar, was a back up musician for “The Greasy Greens” and made some ofhis own CDs. He loved fishing, hunting and family.

He is survived by his mother,Lois Beeson, of Maumelle; daughter, Misti Schneidewind and husband, Charles, of Niceville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Elijah and Hannah; two sisters, Robin Henry and husband, Larry, of Odessa, Texas, and Lynn Banaszak, of North Little Rock; two nephews, Dr. Robert Wadley, of Maumelle; Eric Banaszak, of North Little Rock; niece, Emily Banaszak, of Tyler, Texas; great-niece, Eva Grace Banaszak and his dog, Daisy. He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Beeson; and infant twin brother, Robert Gary.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be James Dennis, James Kersey and Conley Cox. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Little Rock Veterans Hospital and to his care-taker Van. RUTH INEZ BRANNON, 92 of Little Rock, Ark., went to bewith the Lord on Saturday July 21, 2012. She was born July 6, 1920 in Mulberry, Ark., to John and Sarah Sumner.

Ruth had a strong faith in God and loved her family andfriends dearly. She expressed her love by serving others endlessly. She had a smile that would light up the world, and her cooking warmed not only your belly but your heart. She worked at Hank’s Dog House for 50 years where she met many wonderful people who became lifelong friends.

She is survived by her son, Ted Brannon and wife Beverly, and daughter, Cynthia and husband Steve Wilburn. Her grandchildren are Chad Wilburn and wife Darcy, Coy Wilburn, Berkeley and husband Tad Lumpkin, Taylor Brannon, Whitney and husband Nathan Marcotte. She is also survived by her sister, Hazel Penrod and many nieces and nephews.

Her pallbearers will be her son, Ted Brannon, son-in-law, Steve Wilburn, and grandsons, Chad and Coy Wilburn, Taylor Brannon, and Nathan Marcotte. JAMES ARLIN CRAIG JR., 65, of Little Rock, passed away onJuly 23, 2012 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 10, 1947 to Arlin and Evelyn Craig, who preceded him in death. Jim managed his family business, Red Gate Liquor, which was established in 1951, then succeeded his father as owner and through his tireless work and dedication it expanded to a new facility in 1991 and grew into the flourishing business it is today. The success of the business was due to Jim’s dedication to his loyal customers. Jim was highly respected in the liquor industry in Arkansas and graciously shared his success by supporting many local charities.

In his leisure time Jim enjoyed being with his family and playing with his granddaughters. He was an avid fisherman and never missed the opportunity to spend time at the lake with his bass fishing buddies.He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alexander. Jim attended Mabelvale High School where he graduated in 1965. He attended Henderson University for two years then completed his education with a degree in history from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Survivors include his wife Druetta Hobbs Craig with whom he enjoyed a loving marriage of 46 years; daughter and son-in-law, Alisha and Chad Crabill of Little Rock, daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Kenneth Leitch of Little Rock; five granddaughters, Jessica, Ashley, Cameran, Kaylee, and Alexis; a sister and brother-inlaw, Janet and Victor Juengel of Helena; nephew, Rodney Bowen and his wife Gabriela of Hot Springs, and nephew, Stewart Juengel of Benton.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton with Pastor Steven Teske officiating. Employees of Red Gate Liquor will serve as pallbearers. She was born on July 26, 1925, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Herbert S. and Bessie Hale. A life-long resident of Little Rock, she graduated from Little Rock High School. She was a member of Little Rock’s First Baptist Church. She retired as Secretary to Dr. John B. Wright, Pastor Emeritus of Little Rock’s First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert S. andBessie Hale, husband, J. Warren Goza, son David L. DORIS IRENE MARTIN of North Little Rock went to bewith the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She was born on September 25, 1924 at London, Arkansas, the daughter of Jesse Andrew and Ethel Nordin Vinson. She worked at manyjobs during her adult life, but the most important to her was helping her late husband, Reverend Vernon H. Martin in his ministry as an Assembly of God pastor.

She is survived by her two children, Gene Martin (Johnnie) of Russellville, and Judy Hadley (Bill) of North Little Rock; six grandchildren, Dina Elzinga (Darryl), Grand Rapids, Mich., Tammy Ponsetto (Gene), Robbie Looper (Bobby) both of Russellville, Richard Martin (Micheline), of Fort Smith, Steven Hadley (Alexandra) of Buena Vista, Ga. and Melissa Hadley of North Little Rock; 15 greatgrandchildren and six greatgreat-grandchildren.

She had a huge heart and a beautiful smile and brought joy to those around her, and she loved her family dearly. Sheattended church with her family at Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church until illness kept her from going.

LARRY McGUIRE of North Little Rock passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2012. He was born October 15, 1942 in Garber, Oklahoma to Lawrence and Earlene (Holderfield) McGuire. He served in the United States Navy from 1961-1965. He was retired from his career as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerry McGuire and Chuck McGuire.He is survived by his wife Nell; sons, Michael Jay, Jason and Troy; daughter, Misty; brothers, Jim, Wayne, Mike and Gary; sisters, Kay, Yvonne, Jane and Betsy; and grandchildren, Ashley and Ava.

We are deeply saddened by his death. His presence and laughter will be greatly missed. He is now at peace in the hands of our Lord. Post office buddies, thank you, you were great friends. A special thank you to Bill and Kathy and a special thanks to Alys and Roger for the home care they provided and all at Arkansas Hospice.

MARY FRANCES PATILLO, 61, departed this life on Saturday,July 21, 2012 after a courageous battle against cancer. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 29, 1950, Mary displayed an appreciation for life and for people. Her hobbiesincluded: family, music, and watching westerns. Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. It was this faith in Christ that sustained her. Mary was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her son Norman Eugene Johns; father, James Pattillo Sr.; mother, Hattie Bell Patillo and sister, Lucille Cooley. Mary is survived by three children, Carl Patillo, Lucille Patillo and Merlin Lewis; three grandchildren, AJ Buie, Michaela Brown, and Precious Patillo; three siblings: Helen Harris (Amos), James Patillo Jr. (Pamela), and Catherine Smith (Eugene); numerous relatives, friends (Lanzell Ricks) and church members.

BRYANT - Charles Andrew “Andy” Curtis, 95, of Bryant died July 22, 2012 in the home of his son, Charles Jeffrey “Jeff” Curtis (deceased), and daughter-in-law, Sondra Haile Curtis.

Born September 3, 1916 to John Anderson and Jeffie Howard Curtis in Paron, Arkansas, Andy was one of nine children, all deceased, (Kelso; Eunice Jackson; Allen; Don; Ed; Andy; Rosa Lee Rickard; and Ellene Lancaster). Married to Jimmye Raye Ramsey in 1944, they had one son and three grandchildren: Keith Moore, Jordan Alexandra Curtis Sherrod, and Susan Elisabeth Curtis.

CAMDEN -- Emogene Parker Elkins, 82, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at her home in Camden under the care of OCMC Hospice. Emogene was born October 29, 1929 in Randall, Cleveland County to Martin Lee Parker and Ida Rodgers Parker. FAYETTEVILLE - Raymond “Jack” Rinn was born August 3,1918, in Sagerton, Texas. He was the eldest son of Elmer and Esther Teichelmann Rinn. He met and married his wife of 70 years, Elsie Katherine Hansen, at St. John’s LutheranChurch in Lawton, Okla. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps at age 18 and his first assignment was the 1st Balloon SQ in the War Dept Air Corps at Ft. Sill, Okla. Subsequent assignments during his 30 year military career sent him all over the United States, Asia and Europe during WWII and The Korean War. Jack was recognized for his dedication and bravery during WWII and in 1946 was awarded the Bronze Star. He served the majority of war years as a Warrant Officer and retired from active duty as a Master Sergeant from the US Air Force and bought a farm outside of Fayetteville where he and Elsie lived for the past 57 years. He was well known and loved throughout the community of Round Mountain where they lived. He died peacefully on his farm, surrounded by the nature he loved, July 20th, 2012.

Jack was an elder at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fayetteville. He contributed his carpentry and Supervisory skills when the new Lutheran church was built. His love for and commitment to the Lutheran Church, was evident as he lovingly cared for the church grounds every weekend and oversaw all maintenance on the new building. He was proud of his small herd of cows and spent many hours in the hay fields.

He was an avid gardener and shared the bounty of his garden with his neighbors and friends. His 60 ft. pine trees and prized daylily field are exceptional examples of his intimate knowledge and love of the natural world.

Jack is predeceased by his son John David Rinn, sister Lydia Rinn Stephenson, and Lorraine Rinn Chambers. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Rinn, his brother, Dr. O.A. Rinn, his four daughters, Rae Jene Rinn Dunn and her husband, Dr. James Dunn, Patricia Susan Rinn, Janice Gail Rinn Gavit and her husband, Charles Bradley Gavit and Lisa Marie Rinn Rotenberry, nine grandchildren, Katherine, Eric, Clay, Dawn, Michael, Lindsay, Jessica, Paige and Mitchell and eight greatgrandchildren.

He was born December 31st, 1942 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to the late Mr. & Mrs. B.F. Roland enjoyed life. He was very quiet until you got to know him, but really loved being around people. He liked Formula 1 Racing and photography, taking many wonderful photographs, but music was his real passion. He played drums in high school and also played the bass guitar.

Mr. Landers was born in Rohwer, Ark., a son of the late Andrew Louis and Carrie Mae Tedder Landers. He attended Kelso High School and served in the U.S. Army. He fought in the Korean Conflict where he was wounded and he received a Purple Heart. Mr. Landers was a farmer all his adult life. He was very active and involved with the McGehee, Ark., Chamber of Commerce during the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of McGehee, Ark., and was an avid deer and hog hunter.

Mr. Landers was preceded in death by his son Louis Boyd Landers. Survivors include his daughter, Lisa (Chuck) Ramsey of Owasso, Okla.; sister, Sue Terry of Westfield, Ind.; grandchildren, Ashley (Jon) Oxton, Charles (Samantha) Ramsey and James (Georgia) Ramsey, great-grandchildren, Madison Oxton, Lindsey Oxton, Alexis Ramsey and Ansley Ramsey andSavannah Ramsey.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Peggy Jordan Teeter, age 75, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away June 24, 2012. She was born December 2, 1937, daughter of George and Opal Jordan. Peggy attended Scott High School, and later joinedthe US Army. While serving in the Army, she was trained as a nurse and worked in that capacity for several years. Later, she continued her service in the National Guard and worked as a prison guard at Leavenworth Prison. Peggie was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Teeter and son, Gregory Teeter. Survivors include one son, Mark Teeter (Lisa), two brothers; Joe Jordan (Nadine) of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Danny Jordan (Jeanie) of Largo, Fla., and one sister, Tena Jordan Johnson (Orelan) of England, Ark. PLANO, Texas - Bill Dial, age 83, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Malvern, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012. Bill was born in Leola, Arkansas, October 9, 1928, to the parents of Hallie and Ruth Dial. His family moved to Malvern during his senior year, in 1946 and he graduated from Malvern High School the same year.

He married DeNora VanDusen, August 9, 1947. Bill worked at A.B. Cook Company for twelve years then went to work for Wilson Lumber Company. In 1972, International Paper Company acquired Wilson Lumber Company and Mr. Dial finished his career with International Paper Company and retired in 2006 at the age of 77. Bill was a great source of support to his family and extended family. His family will remember him as a generous and kind husband, father, and grandfather. He and DeNora attended Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.
