Bryant police investigate Wal-Mart theft

Authorities in Bryant are on the lookout for two suspects after an early morning theft at a local Wal-Mart.

According to a release from the Bryant Police Department, about 4 a.m. Tuesday, 34 white iPhone 4S and four black iPhone 4S cell phones and a Samsung Galaxy Notebook were stolen.

Employees within the store said the phones and tablet were kept in a locked case behind the cash registers in the electronics section.

Security camera footage showed that a black male walked behind the same register and broke the lock with an unknown tool. After that, a second black male replaced him and began pulling the merchandise out of the cabinet.

The suspects loaded the electronics both in their pants and into a shopping cart before leaving the store through a side door. The total value of the merchandise taken is estimated at $26,832.
