— Drugs, gun, money seized; 2 arrested

Search and seizure raids at two Little Rock businesses Wednesday yielded several pounds of synthetic marijuana known as K2 and several ounces of the synthetic stimulant known as bath salts, according to reports.

Little Rock police executed warrants about 11 a.m. at stores at 3200 W. Base Line Road and 1300 S. Woodrow St., reports state.

At the Base Line Road location, officers seized half an ounce of bath salts, 2 pounds of K2, a 12-gauge shotgun and $41,795 in cash, according to reports. Juan Mendez-Paz, 32, of 84 S. Wakefield Drive was arrested at the store and charged with possession of controlled substances, simultaneous possession of guns and drugs, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, reports state.

At the store on Woodrow Street, officers reported seizing 2.2 pounds of K2 and 8 1/2 ounces of bath salts. The owner of the store, Yousef Qattoum, 36, of 503 Green Mountain Drive, Apartment 37, was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, maintaining drug premises, simultaneous possession of guns and drugs, and endangering the welfare of a minor, reports state.

Additional information about the raids was not available Wednesday night.

Both men were being held Wednesday night at the Pulaski County jail. Bail had not been set.

Reward offered for leads in May death

Little Rock police announced a $10,000 reward Wednesday for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the May shooting death of a teenager downtown.

Terry Bullard, 18, of 2617 S. Johnson St. in Little Rock was celebrating his high school graduation the morning of May 26 at Mediums at 521Center St., police spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said in a news release.

Shortly before 1 a.m., an argument between other people at the club led to shots being fired and Bullard was struck by one of the bullets, the news release states. He died at the scene.

Although at least 100 people were at the club when the shooting occurred, police have not developed a suspect in the case, the news release states.

2 men found shot in parked vehicle

Two men were shot at 18th and Allen streets in North Little Rock early Wednesday morning, police said.

Shortly after midnight, officers in the area of Silver City Courts at 701 W. 18th St. heard several gunshots and found a vehicle parked in the road at 2000 Percy Machin Drive, police spokesman Sgt. Brian Dedrick said in a news release.

Inside the vehicle, officers found two men with gunshot wounds. One of the men was taken to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock in critical condition. The other man was taken to St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock in serious condition, the news release states.

Officers later found the crime scene at 18th and Allen streets. Additional details on the shootings and the identities of the men were not available Wednesday.

No arrests had been made in the shooting Wednesday night.

Victim says thief

shot him at park

A Wrightsville man was shot Tuesday evening in Kanis Park while running from a man he said was trying to rob him, a Little Rock police report states.

About 8:38 p.m., officers responding to a shooting victim at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center spoke with Glenn McClinton, 34, who said he was by the baseball field at the park when he was approached by an unknown man. The man demanded money from McClinton, who then tried to run away, the report states.

McClinton was shot in the stomach and drove himself to the hospital, the report states. He underwent surgery Tuesday night. His condition was not available Wednesday.

No arrests had been made in the shooting Wednesday night.
