— This colt can bolt with best

Watch out Usain Bolt, here comes Usain Colt.

The 3-year-old thoroughbred named after the world’s fastest man is being lined up for several races in Britain this summer, andhis owners hope Usain Bolt will meet his equine namesake while he is in London for the Olympics.

The horse is owned by Ascot Racecourse. Prince Harry is believed to have joined the Birdcage RacingClub run by Ascot, whose 100 members pay an annual fee.

Bolt is aware of Usain Colt.

When Prince Harry visited Jamaica this year, he met Bolt and showed him a picture.

“To have a race horse named after you, by someone who ownsit like Prince Harry, for me is an honor,” Bolt said.

Phonies

The track suits and bags of Egypt’s Olympic team are emblazoned with the familiar Nike and Adidas logos, but look closer.

They’re fakes.

“We signed with a Chinese distributor in light of Egypt’s economic situation,” Gen.

Mahmoud Ahmed Ali, the country’s committee chairman, told The Associated Press.

Ali said the real thing was just too expensive, and the state of Egypt’s battered finances led him to opt for the counterfeit gear, which he said was “sufficient.”

So what if the sports brands don’t like it?

If Nike has a problem with it, then it should deal directly with the Chinese distributor who sold it, Ali said in separate remarks to the state-run Ahram Online.

So far, the only ones complaining are Egypt’s athletes.

Synchronized swimmer YomnaKhallaf wrote on Twitter that she spent more than $300 out of pocket to buy better training gear.

Win one first, OK?

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick made a comment about the Eagles developing a potential dynasty.

Wrote Reggie Hayes of the News-Sentinel in Fort Wayne, Ind,: “Two coaches have no problem with the comments: Eagles Coach Andy Reid, because he’s supportive of his player, and [New York] Jets Coach Rex Ryan, because someone else stuck their foot in their mouth for a change.” Trash-talking

Minnesota Timberwolves teammates Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio have become rivals.

Love plays for Team USA, while the injured Rubio is cheering on his native Spain at the Olympics. Rubio tweeted before the teams played an exhibition game Tuesday night in Barcelona: “(at)kevinlove are you ready to lose to Spain tonight?”

The Americans put a 100-78 thumping on the Spaniards, and Love tweeted Rubio a simple and stinging retort: “How’d that work out for you, buddy ?”Quote of the day
