BLYTHEVILLE — Police in Blytheville say a city worker is accused of selling drugs out of his city-owned vehicle.
A Monday court appearance is set for Brian Eugene Robinson, 32, of Blytheville. He’s charged with possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute methamphetamine, marijuana and hydrocodone. Robinson also faces two gun charges.
The Blytheville Courier News reported that Mayor James Sanders got a tip Wednesday that Robinson was purportedly selling drugs from a city recycling truck.
Sanders told police, who found that there was also an active warrant for Robinson. Police allege that when searching Robinson they found a loaded .25-caliber pistol, 86 hydrocodone pills, 5.9 grams of methamphetamine, 13.4 grams of marijuana and $4,000 in cash.
It was unclear whether Sanders has an attorney.
