Three men sentenced in Arkansas pharmacy robberies

— Three men have been sentenced in connection with two Hot Springs pharmacy robberies in 2010.

Federal prosecutors announced Friday that Detric Conway was sentenced to 36 years in prison; Richard Johnson was sentenced to 32 and Corey Kidd received a 12-year term.

Authorities say Conway robbed Phil’s Pharmacy in Glenwood at gunpoint on June 21, 2010. About three weeks later, they say Conway, Johnson and Kidd held a Hometown Pharmacy employee at gunpoint and stole a large amount of narcotics.

Conway and Johnson were apprehended after that robbery, and Kidd was arrested later.

All three pleaded guilty in November to using a firearm during a crime of violence; pharmacy robbery, and interference with commerce by robbery.

Defense attorneys for the men didn’t immediately return messages left after hours seeking comment.
