— Three men in a 2010 armed robbery of a local pharmacy were sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Hot Springs.

One of them was also sentenced for a similar robbery in Glenwood.

Detric Levon Conway, 37, Richard Dewayne Johnson, 41, and Corey Leroy Kidd, 34, pleaded guilty Sept. 12, 2011, to federal charges stemming from the July 13, 2010, robbery of the Hometown Pharmacy in Hot Springs. Conway also pleaded to charges stemming from the June 21, 2010, armed robbery of Phil’s Eastside Pharmacy in Glenwood.

Conway was sentenced to a total of 36 years in prison, Johnson was sentenced to 32 years, and Kidd was sentenced to 12 years and 11 months for their respective roles in the robbery.

All the sentences are without the possibility of parole.

Conner Eldridge, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, said Friday that the three were facing federal charges because the robberies involved interference with interstate commerce and the use of a firearm, which “gave us a jurisdictional hook” to bring a case against them.
