— SATURDAY Ancestor Fair MORRILTON - The Conway County Genealogical Society will sponsor the 16th annual Arkansas River Valley Ancestor Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the multipurpose building on the county fairgrounds on U.S. 64 in downtown Morrilton. Those attending will have an opportunity to share family history and receive tips about researching genealogical history. Food and drinks will be available at the fair. TODAY Summer Concert Series CONWAY - The Boomers will perform at 2 p.m. at the Faulkner County Library as a part of the library’s summer concert series. The band consists of J.D. TUESDAY Q & A with Senator’s Staff MORRILTON - U.S. Sen. John Boozman’s staff will hold a question-and-answer session from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce. This is a walk-in event, and staff members will answer questions and address concerns involving any federal agency and listen to residents’ thoughts on legislative issues. SATURDAY College Financial Preparation Class MAUMELLE - The Maumelle Library will hold the first of a two-part series on college financial preparation at 1 p.m. Saturday. The session, Prepare Your Family for College: Budgeting, Student Loans and What Parents Should Know, will include budgeting strategies and insight on student loans. The second session will be held Sept. 29 and will include information about college scholarships.

Kids’ Triathlon CONWAY - The 15th annual First Security Conway Kids’ Triathlon will be held Saturday at the University of Central Arkansas. Kids ages6 to 15 can still register online at www.conwaykidstri.com or in person on Friday at UCA, as long as spots are still available.

ONGOING Art Exhibit FAIRFIELD BAY - Beginning Wednesday, Jane Huner will present her collected works at the Fairfield Bay Library, 369 Dave Creek Parkway.

Her exhibit will continue until Oct. 30. The public may view the work from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays; and from 9:30 a.m.

First Baptist Church Services MAUMELLE - Pastor Tony Auxier invites the community to attend services and activities at First Baptist Church Maumelle. Each Sunday morning, a worship service is held at 10:15 in the Sanctuary. Through August, Auxier’s sermon topics will be from the Gospel of Mark. Bible classes for all age groups meet at 9 a.m. Sundays. At 5 p.m. Sundays, Auxier will continue the study on the struggles of the prophet Jeremiah. A dinner and fellowship are held at 5 p.m. each Wednesday in the Activities Building. Master Gardeners Applications CONWAY - The Faulkner County Master Gardeners are taking applications for the fall training class that will begin Sept. 11.
