FAULKNER COUNTY — The Faulkner County Library is offering forgiveness of library fines in exchange for food.
The library is collecting nonperishable food items to donate to a local food pantry.
Possible items include tuna fish and small jars of mayonnaise; boxed macaroni and cheese; canned vegetables and fruit; instant oatmeal and grits; and cans of spaghetti sauce, ravioli, soups and stews.
In exchange for a lost or billed item currently on a library account, a school backpack will be accepted.
Food items and backpacks may be delivered to any branch library in Conway, Clinton, Greenbrier, Mayflower, Mount Vernon, Twin Groves or Vilonia through Aug. 21.
