LITTLE ROCK — Gary Newton, the executive vice president of the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, has been named as the first president and chief executive officer of Arkansas Learns, an alliance focused on education.
Newton is also a member of the Arkansas Motion Picture Institute and previously served on the chancellor-appointed Provost Search Committee for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Newton is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and also served as the executive vice president of the then-Greater Little Rock Chamber of Commerce.
