LITTLE ROCK — BASKETBALL Wings win national title
The Arkansas Wings Elite won their ninth national championship, defeating the Chicago Next Level Players 54-29 in the 11th-grade Division I level Monday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
The Wings were led by Little Rock Hall’s Bobby Portis, who finished with 16 points. Moses Kingsley, from New Albany, Miss., added 8 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists.
The Wings went 9-0 in the tournament that featured 164 teams.
