SATURDAY Seminar for Women CONWAY - Larry Pillow will conduct a Fresh Start Seminar for Women from 1-5 p.m. at 805 Chapel Hill Road. The four-hour program is a Christ centered seminar designed to help women begin again successfully after experiencing a crisis, transition or loss. MONDAY Audubon Society Meeting RUSSELLVILLE - The Arkansas River Valley Audubon Society will meet at 7 p.m. at the Lake Dardanelle State Park Visitor Center, 100 State Park Drive in Russellville. TUESDAY Creature Feature CLINTON - The Little Red River Audubon Society will present Creature Feature, a chance for people to get upclose and personal with animals from the Little Rock Zoo, at 7 p.m. at the Petit Jean Electric Building, 270 Quality Drive in Clinton. Bunco Tournament CONWAY - Make a Child Smile will hold a bunco tournament at the former Puff’s warehouse, 2125 Harkrider, Suite 10. The cost to play is $10 per person, with games starting at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the first bunco rolled, the most buncos rolled and the most games won. Prizes will include donations and cash prizes. There will also be door prizes. All proceeds will go to Make a Child Smile and will benefit the Back to School Project. ONGOING Master Gardeners Applications CONWAY - The Faulkner County Master Gardeners are taking applications for the fall training class that will begin Sept. 11. Participants will join the group for projects such as the gardens at the libraries, the museum and the courthouse, as well as the Legacy Garden at the Faulkner County Natural Resource Center on Amity Road. UPCOMING Zumbathon Fundraiser SHERWOOD - A Zumbathon fundraiser will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 30 at Skate Connection, 2913 E. Kiehl Ave. The fee to participate is $10 for everyone 12 or older. All proceeds will benefit the Maumelle Amateur Athletic Union basketball team. Participants must sign a liability waiver and are asked to bring a small towel. Members of the basketball team will sell water at the event. Fireworks Extravaganza HEBER SPRINGS - The Heber Springs Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a celebration of America’s independence beginning at 6 p.m. July 3 on the shores of Sandy Beach at Greers Ferry Lake. Weekly Bible Study MAUMELLE - The women’s ministry of First Baptist Church Maumelle will hold weekly Bible-study get-togethers, starting at 6:30 p.m. July 3 in the Fellowship Hall of the activities building at the corner of Maumelle Boulevard and Millwood Circle. There will be six hour-and-a-half sessions titled “Friend Me.” The sessions are designed to take away the insecurities and awkwardness of joining a new group. There is a $10 fee to cover the cost of literature. The meetings will include Bible study, discussion, prayer and food. Community Fireworks Display RUSSELLVILLE - The city of Russellville will present a community fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. July 4 at Old Post Road Park, 1598 Lock and Dam Road.
