LITTLE ROCK — Artiller and I.V. Caldwell

of Little Rock will celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary at 1 p.m. Saturday at Brookside Health and Rehabilitation Center. The couple were married March 4, 1944. Mrs. Caldwell is the former Artiller Canady. Both are retired. They are the parents of Allene Caldwell Davis of Oakland, Calif.; Dr. Carlton Caldwell of St. Louis; Gerald Caldwell and Thurmond Caldwell, both of Kansas City, Mo.; and the late Ivory Caldwell and the late Rev. John Caldwell. The couple have 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Virginia and George Wilken of Maumelle will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today at Faith Lutheran Church. The couple were married March 4, 1962. She is the former Virginia Maas and a retired registered nurse from Baptist Health. Wilken is a retired meteorologist with the National Weather Service. They are the parents of Eric Wilken of Benton and Curt Wilken of Little Rock. The couple have two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Linda and Bill Akers

of North Little Rock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday with a reception at First Pentecostal Church. The couple were married March 3, 1962. She is the former Linda Cameron and retired from advertising. He is retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., now owner/president of Arkansas Searchpro Inc. They are the parents of Robert E. Akers of Sherwood and Kristin E. Beall of Maumelle. The couple have five grandchildren.

CROSSETT — Edra and Mike Young celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 25 with a reception at their home. The couple were married Feb. 25, 1962. She is the former Edna Jenkins and a registered nurse with the Ashley County Health Department. He is retired from Georgia Pacific. They are the parents of Michael Young of Crossett and Christy Peterson of Hot Springs. The couple have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
