The Lady Trojans beat no. 1-seed Middle Tennessee State 71-70 in overtime in the Sun Belt Conference tournament finals on Tuesday afternoon in Hot Springs, earning their third straight trip to the NCAA Tournament and second straight Sun Belt tournament title.

UALR (20-12) also handed the first defeat to a Sun Belt team on the year to the Lady Blue Raiders.

Taylor Gault — who was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player — hit a shot at the buzzer to send the game into overtime and Taylor Ford's go-ahead lay-up with 11 seconds left gave the Lady Trojans the lead for good.
