Ex-casino dealer pleads guilty in Louisiana cheating plot

— A former dealer at a Lake Charles casino has pleaded guilty to conspiring to rig roulette games.

Forty-five-year-old Stephen Mouton, of Iowa, La., is the third defendant to plead guilty in the plot.

Federal prosecutors say Mouton and another dealer at L’Auberge du Lac Casino allowed two other men to place bets after the ball had fallen into the winning number.

Mouton pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Prosecutors say the scheme cost the casino more than $1 million.

Mouton faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison. His sentencing is set for July 12.
