Investigators: Woman’s death not connected to other killings

— Investigators don’t believe the death of an Arkansas woman found in western Tennessee last year is connected to other unsolved killings in the area.

Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box told the Jonesboro Sun that police are waiting for laboratory and DNA test results in the case of 44-year-old Karen Swift, who was found Dec. 10 in underbrush near Bledsoe Cemetery. Investigators aren’t releasing the results of an autopsy report.

Box says there’s no link between Swift’s death and the deaths of 20-year-old Holly Bobo or other women. According to authorities, both had blond hair and blue eyes, characteristics similar to women killed in southern Missouri.

Swift was last seen by her husband, David, on Oct. 30. Her vehicle was found with a flat tire near the couple’s home.
