An unknown gunman was trying to rob a trio of men for a second time Friday night at a Little Rock apartment complex when he shot one of the men.

Manuel Chan, 28, was one of three men walking into an apartment at 1400 Old Forge Drive when a gunman approached. The man demanded money and fled with an unknown amount of cash, police reports state.

A moment later, the gunman walked back in and demanded more money. When the men told him they didn’t have any more, the gunman shot Chan and fled on foot, reports state.

Doctors told detectives late Friday night that Chan’s wound is not life-threatening.

The gunman was described only as a black man who wore black pants and a white-and-green hat.

Shooting suspect surrenders, jailed

A Little Rock man surrendered to authorities a day after police said he pulled a gun on three acquaintances, orderedthem to take off their clothes and robbed them.

Dexter Thrower Jr., age unavailable, was arrested Friday morning and charged with aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Police said Thrower was drinking and smoking K2, a synthetic marijuana, with acquaintances Thursday morning at his home at 3919 St. James Court when he noticed some of his money was missing. He retrieved a shotgun and told the two women and one man to take off their clothes.

He then took their clothes, cell phones and money, according to police. Thrower fired the weapon but no one was injured.

When police arrived, they sealed off the 3900 block of St. James Court. When Special Weapons and Tactics officers entered Thrower’s home, he was no longer there.

Thrower was being held Saturday night at the Pulaski County jail. Information on bail was not immediately available.
