JACKSON, Miss. — Authorities say a man has been charged with capital murder and the sale of a controlled substance in the death of a Mississippi State University student shot Saturday in a dormitory.
Mason Perry Jones, 21, of Jackson was charged in the death of 21-year-old John Sanderson, university police said.
University spokesman Maridith Geuder said Jones wasn’t a Mississippi State student.
The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Jones on Sunday in Memphis.
Two “persons of interest” are wanted for questioning, authorities say.
