ENTERTAINMENT NOTES

— Elsewhere in entertainment and the arts this weekend: Papering the room

Twin artists Veda and Meda Rives will be setting up an exhibit titled “Confluence, Divergence, Concurrence,” an installation of handmade paper arranged throughout the gallery space, today and Wednesday in the Hammons Gallery, Mabee Fine Arts Center at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia.

The installation process will be open and visitors can observe and discuss the installation with the artists while they work. The Rives sisters will give a presentation as part of an opening reception at 7 p.m. today in the gallery.

The exhibit, which will remain on display through April 13, started with the concept, “Wouldn’t it be wonderful to create a book that is large enough to walk into?” It continues a series the artists have produced throughout the United States and as far away as South Korea and Japan.
