Flint knapping on tap Friday and Saturday

— Mammoth Spring State Park will hold its 11th annual Knapin arrowhead and spearpoint demonstration Friday and Saturday at the ball-field area in the park.

Visitors will have the opportunity to watch experienced flint knappers demonstrate the primitive art of making these tools, as well as learn some tips and tricks to fashion arrowheads and spearpoints.

Rocks and tools will be available for purchase. The cost of the demonstration is $5 for participants, but spectators may watch for free. For more information, contact the park by calling (870) 265-7364 or emailing mammothspring@arkansas.com.
