2 BEAT Electric rock violinist Mark Wood of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra returns to Little Rock for the fifth time with his band, the Mark Wood Experience, to perform with about 120 young musicians (mostly from Mills and Conway high schools) who compose The Point 94.1’s Youth Rock Orchestra at 7 p.m. Saturday at Robinson Center Music Hall. 4 BEAUTY Take a very special egg home with you at Eggshibition XXI: Extreme Makeover — Youth Home Edition, 7 p.m. Friday at the Jack Stephens Center, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, 2801 S. University Ave. The annual Youth Home fundraiser features live and silent auctions, music and refreshments, but the highlight is the eggs — fanciful plaster creations decorated by local artists. This year’s celebrity-autographed eggs include the signatures of coach Bobby Petrino and actor Matthew Mc-Conaughey. Folksinger Michael Johnathon and his WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour will record two one-hour broadcasts showcasing Arkansas and Arkansas-connected musicians at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Donald W. Confirmed acts include The Cleverlys, Mountain Viewbased Blue Rain Bluegrass Band, Bonnie Montgomery, junior-high bluesman Nathan A., Fayetteville “folkgrass” group Still on the Hill and mountain dulcimer champion Scott Odena with Peterson’s Original Ragtime Band. 6 BUNNY And speaking of eggs, the Clinton Presidential Center will host its seventh annual Easter Family Festival and Egg Hunt, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday on the park grounds, 1200 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock. Free games, activities (pictures with the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo and a major toy giveaway), plus Arkansas’ largest egg hunt. Rain would move the event to 1-4 p.m. Sunday. 7 BATTLE The five finalists — pianist QiaoMei “Anna” Cheng, baritone Darren Drone, sopranos Grace Johnson and Rebecca Rollene and oboist Andreas Oeste — in the annual “Trinity Presents” Collegiate Performance Showcase will each give 12-minute performances at 6 p.m. Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1101 N. Mississippi St., Little Rock. The program will range from Franz Liszt to Stephen Sondheim. Last year’s winner, tenor Jacob Keith Watson, will also perform.
