Road wrecks kill two in Arkansas

— Two people died from injuries suffered in accidents Tuesday and Thursday on Arkansas roads, according to preliminary Arkansas State Police fatality reports.

Michael Kritzky, 89, of Lead Hill was driving east on Arkansas 14 in Boone County about 3:50 p.m. Tuesday when his Jeep ran off the west side of the road while negotiating a curve. The vehicle overturned and traveled 350 feet before coming to rest in an upright position.

Kritzky was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo., where he died from his injuries about 9:06 p.m. Wednesday.

About 10:44 a.m. Thursday, Emmaly Holt, 20, of McRae was driving north on Arkansas 367 in Beebe when a Dodge pickup traveling east on North Apple Street attempted to cross the highway and struck Holt’s Chevrolet. Holt died at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge, William Gill, 71, of Beebe, was not injured.
