Where I live: My husband, Bart, and I live in the Villages of Wellington with our three sons: Blake, 8, Parker, 6, and Graham, 2, and a white British Labrador retriever named Bailey.
Occupation: I am a dentist and owner of Dickinson Dental. We are a boutique-style clinic offering a full range of cosmetic dentistry plus Botox and Restylane.
My favorite space: It’s the hole.
Why? The hole is a small room between our master bedroom and the master bath that opens to a private deck with a great view. When we built the house, I wanted a sitting room that was going to be my place. I envisioned a space where I could read quietly and watch my old television. It’s turned out to be the busiest place in the house. This is where the kids come after school and watch TV and where they rest when they are sick. I do, on occasion, close the door and find time to read. I love to read anything but I still prefer a book to a reader.
If I could do one thing to improve this space, I would: Like to renovate and refresh the room. With three boys, it’s time to paint and install new carpet.
