Democratic presidential candidate hopeful John Wolfe, Jr. talks to Arkansas Online Tuesday night while visiting for Arkansas' primary election.

A lawyer whose firm is based out of Chattanooga, Tenn., Wolfe said he's running due to his disagreements with the Obama administration, particularly with its treatment of the middle class.

"We need policies that reflect the good of the people, not the good of the lobbyists who are already very well due and really don't have that much more to gain," Wolfe said. "You know, they're pretty set. But 80 percent of the people in America are on pins and needles because of what they do. And I want to represent those 80-percent."

Wolfe hopes to garner enough votes to obtain delegates and head to North Carolina with the same mission. He was able to garner 17,804 votes (11.82 percent) in the Louisiana primary on March 24, second among democrats, and 1,000 (1.37 percent) in the Missouri primary on Feb. 7. Wolfe was not on the ballot for the Oregon primary last week.

Party spokeswoman Candace Martin told The Associated Press Thursday that John Wolfe hasn’t complied with Arkansas’ delegate selection rules and hasn’t turned in two mandatory documents. Martin said the national party has told the Arkansas Democratic Party that delegates Wolfe might claim won’t be recognized at the national convention.
