— LR man charged

in sword threat

A Little Rock man faces a charge of aggravated assault after a neighbor was threatened with a sword, according to a police report.

Brian Smith, 25, of 701 Scott St. showed up at another apartment in his building with the sword about 4:45p.m. Monday and demanded the occupant open the door, the report states.

Little Rock Police reported that Smith began kickingthe front door while pulling the sword from its sheath.

Smith told the victim to open the door and that he was going to kill him, according to the report.

Smith was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault on a family or household member.

He was being held in the Pulaski County jail Monday night. Bail had not been set.
