LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe said that he has seen progress in the growth of Arkansas businesses on an international scale, something that makes the future look bright.
Beebe was in attendance for the Governor's Award for Excellence in Global Trade on Wednesday afternoon at the Governor's Mansion in Little Rock, and among the topics during his session with the media prior to the banquet, Beebe expressed his satisfaction with the way Arkansas is being perceived globally as a player in international business.
Among other topics, Beebe discussed his interest level in Tuesday night's primaries — one of which, the fourth district race for Congress, surprised him. Tom Cotton defeated Beth Ann Rankin and John Cowart without a runoff.
