Police on Wednesday also identified the man killed during the purported burglary as 28-year-old Gyorgy Posan.
The Little Rock Police Department said Officer Terry McDaniel was the first to respond to the incident shortly before noon Tuesday at 204 S. Thayer St. According to a report, McDaniel, 24, spotted 19-year-old Charles Murry running from the area and ordered him to stop.
"At this time, Mr. Murry displayed a small revolver in his right hand and pointed it at Officer McDaniel," police wrote in the report. "Officer McDaniel fired rounds at Mr. Murry who continued to run until he fell to the ground."
Police believe Murry broke into the home and shot Posan, a resident there, and 25-year-old friend Gabar Felszeghy. No update on Felszeghy's condition was immediately available Wednesday.
Murry was pronounced dead at UAMS medical Center.
