Police investigating pair of armed robberies

— Authorities in Little Rock are investigating a pair of armed business robberies that occurred within about three hours of each other Wednesday night and Thursday morning in Little Rock.

In the first incident, which occurred around 10:45 p.m., two men armed with a shotgun or rifle and a small-caliber revolver held up the Exxon at 10423 Chicot Road, according to a police report. The men escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robbers are described as a black man about 6-foot-3 who weighs 190 pounds and was wearing a black hoodie and a black man about 5-foot-10 who weighs about 170 pounds and was wearing a red hoodie.

About three hours later, police were called to the Roadway Inn & Suites at 2401 W. 65th St.

According to a report in that case, two men ran inside, ordered the clerk to the floor and got away with cash.

One robber in the second case is described as a black man in his 20s with a medium build who was wearing a bright green shirt or jersey under a black T-shirt, a green baseball cap and a white bandanna over his face. He was armed with a revolver.

The other robber is described as a black man in his 20s between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot with a medium build who was wearing a black T-shirt and a white baseball cap.

Police say it's unclear if the two cases are related. No arrests have been made.
