LITTLE ROCK — A small earthquake was recorded near Mountain View early Thursday morning.
The 2.2-magnitude temblor occurred just before 7 a.m. with an epicenter about 4 miles west-southwest of Mountain View, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
There were no preliminary indications of damage in the minor quake.
Thousands of small earthquakes have been reported in Arkansas in recent years, including some which geologists said were tied to natural gas drilling disposal wells.
