— Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church was the setting at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 19, for the marriage of Dr. Jessica Lee Miller and Dr. Jacob Otto Boeckmann. Officiating was the Rev. Britt Skarda assisted by Monsignor John O’Donnell.

Mary and Dennis Miller of Springdale are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Becky and Stuart Haw and the late Virginia and Robert Miller, all of Ballwin, Mo.

The groom is the son of Beth and Gene Boeckmann of Wynne. His grandparents are Margaret and the late Otto Boeckmann, also of Wynne, and the late Josephine and Ralph Edwards of Harrisburg.

Music was by organist James Maase, soloist Mary Ann Robinson and trumpeter Carl Mason. Dr. Angie Paddack read Scripture.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of tulle and lace with a sweetheart neckline and cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of pink peonies and garden roses, hypericum and rice flowers.

Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were her sisters, Bitsy Miller of New York and Ali Miller of Springdale; Darcy Pumphrey of Logan, Utah; and Emily Heim of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Leslie Daniels, also of Springdale; Leslie Eden of McKinney, Texas; Carrie Farrell of Dallas; Dr. Andrea Gunderman of Houston; Ashley King of Wynne, sister of the groom; Alex Marshal, Dr. Ida Mehdizadegan and Stacy Riley, sister of the groom, all also of Little Rock; Jennifer Mason of Fayetteville; Joan Newbolt of Morgantown, W.Va.; and Becca Swearingen of Rogers. They wore strapless silk shantung dresses in Tiffany blue and carried bouquets of hydrangeas, roses and hypericum.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Caroline and Jack King of Wynne, niece and nephew of the groom.

Nolan Hughes of Memphis was best man. Groomsmen were Dr. Eric Heim and Chad Riley, both of Little Rock; Jon David King of Wynne; Matt Plunkett of Abilene, Texas, cousin of the groom; Zeke Ridout of New York; Wes Westmoreland of Tampa, Fla.; and Jerrod Wheeler of Kansas City, Mo., cousin of the groom.

Guests were seated by Peter Haw of Ballwin, cousin of the bride, and Jim Huff and Mickey King, both of Wynne.

A reception at the Clinton Presidential Center followed the ceremony. Guest tables were centered with arrangements of wedding flowers, eucalyptus and mossy branches with hanging tea lights. Music was by the Three G’s Band from Memphis.

The bride graduated cum laude from Hendrix College in Conway with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies. She was captain of the soccer team where she received All-Conference selection for all four years and was named to the All-South Regional Team. She received a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and is a third-year resident in ophthalmology at UAMS.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Mississippi at Oxford where he received a bachelor’s degree with honors in accounting. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta, the Golden Key Honor Society and Beta Alpha Psi. He also received a medical degree from UAMS and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He is a fourth-year resident in otolaryngology at UAMS.

After a wedding trip to Rome and Florence, Italy, the couple will live in Little Rock.
