— Wedding vows were exchanged by Roshaunda Chanel McDaniel and James Samuel Franks Jr. at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Longley Baptist Church. The Rev. Curlee Robinson officiated.

Zettoria and Dale McDaniel Sr. of Little Rock are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Etta Harris and the late Ben Harris, both of Little Rock, and the late Lizzie and Joseph McDaniel of North Little Rock.

Parents of the groom are Erma and James Franks Sr. of Little Rock. His grandparents are James and the late Arjestie Franks and the late Izola and Sam Newsome, all of Marvell.

The chancel held two large columns topped with arrangements of red and white roses and lilies. Scripture readings were by Nathaniel Fells and Samuel Fells.

The bride, escorted by her son Erik A’Brian Rand, wore a white chiffon gown with beading on the bodice and shoulder straps. The A-line skirt with scattered beading extended to a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of deep-red roses along with a silver locket.

Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were Dr. Nina Franks Williams of Maumelle, sister of the groom, and Kimberly Bones of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Kyra Nicholson, Tamika Robinson and Jamish Franks, daughter of the groom, all also of Little Rock; and Tori Hawthorne of North Little Rock.

Junior bridesmaids were Ahleizah Franks of North Little Rock and Taylor Franks of Little Rock, daughters of the groom; and Ravynn and Ralynn Rand,also of Little Rock, daughters of the bride. The attendants wore black satin gowns and carried bouquets of roses and calla lilies.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Salara Bones and Trevor Robinson.

Best man was Dr. Rodney Williams of Maumelle. Groomsmen were Antwon Robinson and Randy Robinson, both of Little Rock and cousins of the groom; Fred Moore, also of Little Rock; and Edward Casey of North Little Rock. Junior groomsmen were James Franks III, son of the groom; Makell Nelson, cousin of the bride; and Derrick Caffey, godson of the bride.

Guests were seated by Chico Smith-Ilochi of Little Rock and LaFoshen McAdoo of Maumelle.

Guest tables at a reception at Temple B’Nai Israel alternated short centerpieces of wedding flowers and floating candles with silver trumpet vases of roses and calla lilies. Assisting were Dr. Jennifer Dukes Casey and Tonya Jordon.

The bride has an associate degree in business accounting from Pulaski Technical College, North Little Rock, and is working toward a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is employed in accounts receivable at Glazer’s wholesale distributors.

The groom has an associate degree in computer information systems from Pulaski Tech. He is a computer graphics designer at Glazer’s.

The couple will make their home in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Jamaica.
