MAUMELLE — Charlotte Mary Sweere, who just completed her senior year at Academics Plus Charter School in Maumelle, has been given the 2012 Maumelle Newcomers’ Scholarship.
Sweere maintained a 4.0 grade-point average at Academics Plus, was the valedictorian of her graduating class and has been accepted for admission to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
Sweere intends to major in physical therapy. She is the daughter of Misti and Jess Sweere of Maumelle.
