DALE WARREN CARPENTER, 85 years of age, died May 26, 2012.Dale was born Aug. 1, 1926, in West Ridge, Ark. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Gladys Carpenter of West Ridge, Ark., and his son, Eddie Bruce Carpenter of Little Rock, Ark.Dale grew up in Mississippi County, Ark. In 1943, as an 11 grader at Mississippi County High, Dale volunteered to serve in the United Sates Navy. Dale served his country for two years in the South Pacific. After being discharged, Dale completed the 12 grade. In 1948, Dale married his grade school and high school sweetheart, Ruth Brackett. In 1951, Dale committed his life to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was faithful to the end. In 1978, Dale left Memphis, Tenn., with his wife and moved to Little Rock, Ark., where he started the Unpainted Furniture Center. Dale, Ruth and his son, Warren, and wife, Judy, grew the family business for over 35 years. Dales is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth; his son, James Warren Carpenter and wife, Judy, of Little Rock, Ark.; two grandchildren, Warren Hunter Carpenter and wife, Megan, and Lindsey Carpenter Gray, and husband, Philip, both of Little Rock, Ark.; and three great-grandchildren, Medora Lawler Carpenter, Elizabeth Brackett Carpenter and Wyllys Eggleston Carpenter, all of Little Rock, Ark. Other survivors are his three brothers, Leon Carpenter of Hemet, Calif., Lynn Ingram of Keiser, Ark., and Neal Ingram of Mineola, Texas; and his sister, Mildred Ford of Fort Worth, Texas. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501) 224-8300 on Monday, May 28, 2012, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 29, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park on Highway 5. Dale Warren Carpenter, 1926-2012, was brave enough to sacrifice his life for his country at age 17, bold enoughto start his own business, strong enough to survive the death of his young son, in love with his wife to the very end, faithful to his Lord and loving to his entire family. He was more than enough as a sailor, husband, father, grandfather and, most importantly, brother in Christ. KENNETH (JIMMY) JAMES HACKETT, age 51 of Little Rock, formerly of Sheridan, Ark., passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012. BAUXITE - Ferrel Vance Magby, 61, of Bauxite, passed away May 26, 2012. He was born Oct. 30, 1950, in Bauxite to the late Eathel and Lola Brown Magby. He was a member of West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church and retired after many years from Benton Parks and Recreation Dept. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Danny and Autry Magby. Survivors: wife, Rose Magby of Bauxite; daughter, Amelia Rose Magby of Bauxite; brothers, Sebert Magby, Benton, and Troy Magby of Bauxite; sisters, Dixie Smith, Bauxite, Linda West, Bauxite, and Novis Glenn, Malvern. BENTON - Jimmy N. Gullett, age 82, of Benton, died Saturday May 26, 2012. He was born Sept. 15, 1929, in Duke, Okla. Jimmy was a retired teacher, plumber, salesman, owner of Jim Dandy Kennel and was a US Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Newt Gullett and Marie McDaniel Gullett. Survivors: wife of 58 years, Norma J. Scott Gullett, Benton; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Debbie Gullett, Bryant; Brent and Carolyn Gullett, Benton; daughter and son-in-law, Tamara Bennett Gullett and husband Drew, Benton; sister, Delphine Williamson, Okla.; grandchildren, Hunter Gullett, Tanner Gullett, Bryan Glover, Anna Chambers and husband Ryan, and Tuesday Shelnutt; great-grandchild, Cayn Chambers. BENTON - Harold Thomas (Tom) Hicks, 67, of Benton,passed away May 26, 2012. He was born Feb. 17, 1945, in Little Rock, Ark., to the late Henry and Pauline Hicks. Harold was an employee of Walmart for over 13 years. He waspreceded in death by his parents and brother Rick Hicks. DAMASCUS - Danny Earl Fowler, 68, of Damascus, passedaway, Friday, May 25, 2012. Born in Damascus, Ark., on May 23, 1944, he was a son to the late Jess Ernest and Clara Mae Edwards Fowler. Mr. Fowler was a loving father and brotherand was of the Baptist faith. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Willard and Jarl Don Fowler and Lucille Hartwick and Sybil Walls. Survivors include his sons: Jess Fowler of Conway and Shawn Woods of Marshall; daughter Elizabeth Fowler and J.R. Lanigan of Jacksonville; sisters, Faye Dean Duncan, Ardell Robinson and Edra Glover; brothers, Charles Fowler and Arvis Fowler; grandchildren, Wayne Sutton, Bernard Lanigan, and Cordelia Lanigan; very special friends Frank and Debra Pool and a host of extended family and friends. WOOSTER - Hettie J. Mitchell, 80, of Wooster, went to be with her Lord, Friday, May 25, 2012. She was born May 5, 1932, in Trumann, Ark., to the late James Thomas Mitchell and the late Birtie Ellen Wilson Mitchell. She was retired from Universal Nolans and had previously worked at Ward Bus Sales in Conway. Ms. Mitchell was of the Methodist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Maxine Haney; and a brother, W.D. Mitchell.

She leaves to cherish her memory sisters, Katherine Ellington of Quitman and Alma Lane of Conway; brothers, Don Mitchell of Heth and Thomas Mitchell and his wife Patty Joyce of Barton, Tenn.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
