LITTLE ROCK — One of the savvier things about the Little Rock Film Festival operations has been Festival Genius.
To plan your circuit through the festival, go to the website (littlerockfilmfestival.org) and click Film & Event Guide from the Festival Info drop-down menu. The new page will show you a thumbnail of the guide - click it again.
On the guide page, find the “log in” link at the top right and click it. Registering takes only a moment and requires only an address, username and password.
After registering or logging on, click Schedule in the top menu.
The list that appears is the full slate of films, parties, panels and awards receptions. Running your pointer over the title without clicking brings up a synopsis of the film or event.
Click the “add to cal” prompt on the right to add it to your itinerary.
At any point, click My Festival in the top menu to see your schedule. You may click “run Schedule Genius” to help clean up those time blocks where films overlap, or you can just print your schedule and eyeball it.
By the way, all the kids with iPhones will be downloading the Festival Genius app and uploading their schedules onto their phones, not walking around with printouts. Just sayin’.
