Panel to discuss anti-hunger efforts

— The University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service and the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance will host a panel discussion on the fight against hunger in America on Tuesday.

A state association of food banks and food rescue organizations, the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance works to reduce hunger through hunger relief, education and advocacy.

The panel will include: Bill Ludwig, southwest regional administrator, U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service; Abby Youngken Compton, field manager, Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign; Annette Dove, executive director, Targeting Our Peoples Priorities with Service; and Natalie Jayroe, executive director, Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans.

Those attending the noon to 1 p.m. discussion in Sturgis Hall may bring lunches. Drinks will be provided.
