Hot Springs man accused in beating death

— Authorities have arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of second-degree murder in the beating death of a Hot Springs man.

The Sentinel-Record reports that Ray Allen Brown was arrested late Tuesday in the death of Robert Brindley. Authorities say the two men got into an argument after Brindley came to Brown's home.

Police claim that Brown hit Brindley in the back in the head, knocking him to the ground. Authorities allege that Brown then picked up a large rock and beat Brindley with it.

Brindley was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Brown is being held at the Garland County jail and has a court appearance set for June 12. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.
