— A judge has set high bails for an unmarried couple charged with kidnapping at gunpoint the woman's biological daughter Sunday in Little Rock.

Tabitha Keys, 23, and her boyfriend LeShaun Gray, 33, made initial video appearances before Little Rock District Judge Alice Lightle on Monday morning, less than a day after they surrendered to SWAT officers after a standoff.

Keys and Gray each face charges including kidnapping, aggravated robbery, endangering the welfare of a minor and refusal to submit to arrest. Lightle set Gray's bail at $250,000 and Keys' bail at $300,000.

A public defender representing Keys asked for her bail to be lowered to $250,000, but Lightle said it needed to be higher.

"Putting her own child in that kind of risk deserves that kind of bond," Lightle said.

Gray is accused of holding LaShondra Mosely at gunpoint in her car outside 1923 S. Main St. on Sunday morning while Keys removed her 5-year-old daughter from the vehicle. Mosely has custody of the girl.

Authorities were in the process of issuing an Amber Alert when they learned the couple may be at the Martin Luther King Jr. Drive home of Keys' sister, police said.

Prosecutors said during the hearing that the couple was hiding in the attic and initially refused to come down before later surrendering.

Lightle also ordered Keys and Gray to not have contact with Mosely or the 5-year-old girl if either is released on bond. Preliminary innocent pleas were entered for each defendant during the brief hearings.
