LR murder suspect denied bail

— A judge Monday denied bail Monday for a man arrested Saturday in a 2011 murder in Little Rock.

Mark Goolsby, 24, is the fourth defendant charged in the Dec. 30 shooting death of 25-year-old Greg Smith, according to court records.

Prosecutors said during a hearing Monday in Little Rock District Court that witnesses identified Goolsby as one of two men who had a gun and opened fire during the shooting at 5201 Geyer Springs Road. Authorities have said the motive was a robbery of Smith's drugs.

Prosecutors described Goolsby as the third suspect in the capital murder, but court records show Rashun Goins, Stevie Rogers and Christopher Rogers are all also facing capital-murder charges in the case.

Goolsby was arrested in Pine Bluff. Lightle denied him bail after prosecutors said he had been "on the run for months" before authorities tracked him down.

A preliminary innocent plea was also entered during the video appearance.
